Lewisville partnered with Freaks and Geeks of Denton to host a free Pokémon GO meet up. Attendees chased, captured and trained Pokémon throughout the evening. The event was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Main St.
On July 23, Witherspoon Distillery celebrated its 5th “birthday” with live jazz music and dancing. Men dressed in pinstripe suits and fedoras while women came dressed in 1920s flapper dresses. Hale Baskin and her jazz addiction performed at the event.
4 Way Street, a Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young tribute band, will perform Tuesday on the Wayne Ferguson Plaza stage, as part of the Sounds of Lewisville concert series. The free concert starts at 7 p.m.
Pokémon GO has taken over Denton. All the best Pokéstops are historic sites and staff at the Denton County Office of History and Culture know where the best spots are. There will be a meet up at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Quakertown Park on the festival bridge to catch Pokémon.
Beat the summer heat and share new experiences with friends and family at the Lewisville Public Library, 1197 W. Main St. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The Lewisville Noon Rotary Club will host its 4th annual High Noon Sporting Clay at 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Dallas Gun Club, 3601 S. Interstate 35-E.
