This year, Collin Creek Mall wants to make shopping on Black Friday even more exciting by giving away $10,000 in gift cards, giving Black Friday “survival” bags to the first 1,000 shoppers and providing free entertainment and refreshments to die-hard shoppers who visit the shopping center starting at midnight Friday, Nov. 29.

From midnight until 6 a.m., Collin Creek Mall will give away $10,000 in gift cards and shopping sprees, with drawings every half hour, contest prizes and other surprises.

Shoppers can register for the drawings and join in the contests on the lower level in Center Court. The first drawing will be at 12:30 a.m. and the grand prize drawing for a $1,500 shopping spree will be at 6 a.m.

The “I Survived Black Friday” bags will also be available in Center Court for the first 1,000 shoppers. Tucked inside each bag will be a listing of special offers from the mall’s stores, plus goodies to help ease the all-night shopping blitz. Additionally, some lucky shoppers will find vouchers for gift cards in their bags, in denominations of $25, $50 or $100.

“Black Friday has evolved from being just a time to shop for the best bargains, to a social experience for families and friends. This year, Collin Creek Mall wants to enhance that experience by giving away $10,000 in gift cards and providing a fun and entertaining environment. Shoppers can enjoy holiday music, free coffee and hot cocoa, visit Santa and much more,” said Sandra LaClave, general manager of Collin Creek Mall. “This Black Friday, Collin Creek Mall is the place to ring in the holiday shopping season.”

Collin Creek Mall will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, and will remain open through until 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29. On Saturday, Nov. 30, mall hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 1, the mall is open from 12 to 6 p.m. Hours of department stores are subject to change. Restaurants and entertainment venues at the shopping center may keep different hours. Shoppers are advised to call for exact opening and closing times.
