Make this your family's fun-filled Saturday morning by enjoying this very fast USATF-certified 10K & 5K course and a timed Fun Run through McKinney's beautiful trails. Student runner registration is $15, regardless of race (10K, 5K, Fun Run).

Not into running?  Enjoy the free, family festival with a world-class petting zoo, face-painting, inflatable obstacle course, photo booth, music, entertainment, contests, and prizes!  Grab the prize for Best Chicken Song Dancer, Best Pig Costume, Best Runner Costume, and Best Overall Costume!  Don’t forget the highly competitive Top School Award going to the top 3 schools, regardless of location, with the most registered runners!  The top school gets bragging rights, a trophy, and gets to watch their principal kiss Myrtle the Pig on stage.

Schools and students reap the benefits as the Crape Myrtle Trails Board donates $5 for every registered runner - regardless of age, location, district, or race type - to any school (private or public) listed during the online runner registration process. Don't see your favorite school?  Add it to the school list and spread the word!

This is a great way to not only encourage healthy habits for our youth but provides hands-on opportunities for philanthropic leaders, PTOs, or civic groups to be involved in a fundraising event providing grant dollars into your school's P.E. Dept. It's a win-win!  Last year, $4,500 total grants were awarded to area schools - #1 McClure, #2 Wilmeth, #3 Evans.  Since 2004, more than $50K has been donated to area schools!
