The Colony's Jayda Coleman was named DFW-Fastpitch's Player of the Year. 

DFW-Fastpitch has released its 2019 All-Metroplex Team and numerous local athletes have made the cut, including multiple superlative winners.

Leading the charge with MVP honors is The Colony junior shortstop Jayda Coleman, while The Colony’s Karlie Charles and Plano West’s Tatum Boyd shared Co-Pitcher of the Year honors with Marcus’ Haidyn Sokoloski being named the Freshman of the Year.

Following on the first team are McKinney Boyd’s Kinsey Kackley, Flower Mound’s Kendall Jennings, Marcus’ Lexi Benson, Frisco Independence’s Macy Allen, The Colony’s Jacee Hamlin and Frisco Reedy’s Micaela Wark and Maia Wark.

Second-team nods went to Little Elm’s Lauren Lucas, Reedy’s Toni McInnis, Marcus’ Mikayla Kenney and Flower Mound’s Kayla Wallace, while Sachse’s Mattie Boyd, Frisco Centennial’s Lexi Pope, Frisco Wakeland’s Lily Acuna, Plano East’s Ronnie Ramos, Plano West’s Elisa Rosado, Plano Senior’s Czoey White, Flower Mound’s Bailey Brenek, McKinney’s Kalei Christensen, Allen’s Sami Hood and Prosper’s Gabby Coffey were named honorable mention.

Players selected to the squads receive automatic invitations to play in the All-Star Game at 7 p.m. June 18 at Warren Park in Frisco.
