Give Back Five On Three

Nonprofits had their annual holiday stores open in recent weeks. Give Back Collin County helps connects volunteers with such organizations in the Dallas area.

What does your business offer that is unique compared to similar businesses?

Through our spotlight articles about nonprofits and their volunteers, we create community awareness and show exactly what the nonprofits do for our community. Most importantly, it’s about inspiring people to help and giving them a personal and meaningful way to do that.

What is the most important part of your job on a daily basis?

It is communication, whether it’s communicating with nonprofits on their needs or communicating with volunteers and businesses. Our business is all about communicating the needs of the nonprofits to the community.

What are your keys to success?

The biggestkey to our success is to reach out to large numbers of community-minded residents and educate them about our website. When more volunteers connect with nonprofits, the more clients they can serve.

What surprises you most about your job?

How little time nonprofits have to spend on marketing and getting their name and mission out into the public. So much of their time is spent serving their clients. We are honored to be able to assist them in that way.

Tell us something most people wouldn’t know about your company.

We need volunteers, too. While we spend more of our time finding volunteers for other nonprofits, we are in need of volunteers with writing, social media and marketing experience.
