Two Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD employees were recognized for their work during a recent school board meeting.
Teal Perez and Ericka Guerrero were named C-FB ISD’s Employees of the Nine Weeks.
Perez serves as the lead counselor for Creekview High School and has been serving the district for more than 14 years.
“She is a worker, one that is always positive and always puts what is best for students at the top of her list. She’s positive, dependable … and always looking for ways to improve what is best for our students,” said Joe LaPuma, Creekview High School principal. “Mrs. Perez is an amazing person and an amazing professional that can balance life, family and work at levels that continue to impress me and her colleagues. We’re very thankful to have her part of our team.”
Guerrero serves in the education department as a secretary to Tracy Smith, the district’s associate superintendent for elementary schools. As part of her role, Guerrero coordinates professional development for elementary staff throughout the district.
“Ericka is a wonderful member of the educational services team and is vital to everything that goes on,” Smith said.
In addition, 12 others were named Teachers of the Nine Weeks including teachers at McCoy, McLaughlin, Riverchase and Rainwater Elementary.
