Argyle’s Hidden Valley Creamery has found success in Coppell selling fresh, quality dairy products at the farmer’s market.

Judy Thurston of the creamery said they have been at the Coppell Farmer’s Market for four to five years but recently began selling dairy products.

Thurston said about 1.5 years ago the farm was given Grade-A certification, allowing the farm to use low-temperature pasteurized products.

“There’s not many of us in this area doing this,” she said. “We’re the only Grade-A, in this area, that does goat milk. The next closest one will be down around Houston.”

Thurston said the reaction from the crowds in Coppell has been “very positive.”

“This is our best market. If we could have three or four markets just like Coppell it’d be awesome. It’s a wonderful market,” she said.

Thurston also said she enjoys bringing a quality product to the customers, and recently brought back goat milk.

“A lot of people have been asking for it … so we’re bringing the goat milk back to market.”

Overall, Thurston said, she and her creamery enjoy bringing a quality product to the market every Saturday.

“Most of the stuff out there has tons of sugar, it’s not fresh, it all comes in from the other side of the country,” she said. “So by the time people get a hold of the yogurt, it’s week or two old.

“We make our yogurt on Thursday, and it’s at market on Saturday.”
