The Rotary Club of Coppell congratulates the Coppell High School graduating class of 2018. The club is exceptionally proud of the seniors that were chosen to receive the Coppell Rotary Scholarships. While all of the students who applied for the scholarships were exceptional, there were four seniors who stood out and each won a $1,000 scholarship.

The Rotary Scholarships were awarded to these 4 outstanding students:

Carter Colclasure will continue his education at University of Arkansas where he will pursue a degree in business marketing. Throughout high school he has worked at his family owned cryotherapy business alongside his sisters and parents. Working there has given him unparalleled experience and has allowed him to discover his passion for business and customer service. His hobbies include wrestling and spending time with friends and family.

Ester Ko will continue her education at the University of Texas at Austin where she plans to major in accounting. Ester came to United States at the age of 11, so she is fluent in Korean. She plays the violin at the Las Colinas Youth Orchestra, where she serves as a concertmaster. She is also an avid photographer.

Reid Valentine will continue his education at the University of Texas at Austin where he will pursue his dream of being a sports journalist, by majoring in journalism. Reid has been on the Coppell baseball team since his freshman year and received second team all-district honors this year

Ashley Benhayoun will continue her education at the University of Southern California. Ashley is a graduate of the CHS IB program, and is a member of the Madrigals, Vivace, Respira, and A Cappella choirs. She made the 2018 TMEA all-state choir. She has a servant’s heart and volunteers at Children's Medical Hospital in Dallas. She is looking forward to what the future brings.
