Gateway Church is continuing its record-breaking, life-saving efforts this summer with a goal to help save 10,000 lives through its #GiveForLife blood drives.
In partnership with Carter BloodCare and other local organizations, Gateway is hosting the blood drives at all six of its Dallas/Fort Worth campuses this June and July. There will be a drive from 3-8 p.m. July 6 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7 at the Gateway Frisco Campus, 7125 Legacy Drive.
During the summer, the need for blood transfusions is typically greater than the available blood supply. To accomplish this year’s blood drive goal, at least 3,500 blood donors are needed.
The #GiveForLife blood drives began last summer after Gateway’s founding lead senior pastor, Robert Morris, suffered a health crisis that caused him to lose 50 percent of his blood. Morris’ life was saved after he received several blood transfusions, prompting the church to launch the #GiveForLife blood drives.
Gateway will host #GiveForLife blood drives at different campuses each weekend from June 1 to July 7. The drives are open to the community.
