Corinth City Manager Bob Hart has selected Helen-Eve Liebman to be the city's next director of planning and development.
Liebman has over 30 years of professional experience in the planning and development field in both the public and private sector and will assume her new role Monday.Â
"Helen-Eve has a strong sense of community values that, combined with her planning and leadership experience, make her an outstanding fit to lead our planning department," Hart said. Â "We have an excellent executive staff, and I know Helen-Eve will be a valuable addition to the team and the community."
Liebman will oversee a department of 12 employees who review planning proposals, develop land-use policies and manage the capital improvement program. The department includes the planning, community development, GIS, code enforcement and engineering divisions.Â
Prior experience includes serving as the director of planning and development services for the city of Celina where she lead the planning, development services, code enforcement and building inspections division. Â
In that role she facilitated approvals of complex development agreements, special financing districts and other growth tools. Prior to her tenure with the city of Celina, Liebman served as senior planner for the city of Allen and as director for several private planning firms.Â
Liebman has a landscape architecture degree from Texas A&M University and is a certified planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
