On Wednesday at about 11:29 PM, the Corinth Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Kensington Park Apartments located at 3150 S. Garrison Road. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim lying unconscious adjacent to the driveway of the apartment complex. The victim appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The 18-year-old male victim was transported to a local hospital and he is currently listed in critical condition.
Statements from witnesses at the scene indicated that the victim had been struck by a vehicle and the driver had fled the location in a dark colored Pontiac 4 door. Information and evidence gathered at the scene revealed the driver of the suspect vehicle and the victim had engaged in an illegal narcotics transaction and the victim had run away with the driver’s money without delivering the narcotics. The driver then struck the victim with his vehicle as he attempted to flee the area on foot.
Corinth police officers and detectives obtained license plate information for the suspect vehicle and it was subsequently located in Valley View where it was recovered and processed for evidence. The driver was later confirmed to be David Marcus Katlin, 20 years of age from Denton. Corinth police detectives located Katlin in Denton where he was arrested for attempted murder.
