‘Tis the season for Santa Claus. At 10 a.m. Friday, straight from the North Pole, the right jolly old elf will arrive at Vista Ridge Mall and settle into his Big Vista Lodge, where he’ll be ready for all his little fans to come and visit. Visitors young and old are invited to stop in, say hello and whisper a few secret wishes in his ear. He’s bringing some of his elves, too and the crew will be ready to take commemorative photos of the moment.
Santa will welcome guests through Dec. 24 at 5 p.m., when he’ll whisk away for his gift deliveries. Santa does take breaks during the day to check in with the North Pole, and visitors should check www.vistaridgemall.com for his schedule. Photo prices begin at $22.99. The Big Vista Lodge is located on the lower level near Dillard’s.
For the holidays, Vista Ridge Mall will be bright and cheery, with festive decorations throughout shopping center. Everyone’s invited to come catch the holiday spirit and enjoy the following merriments:
•exclusive Sunday evening pet pics with Santa Claus. On Dec. 7 Santa’s staying late [after mall hours] and he’s inviting cats and dogs to bring their friends and families and come have a special holiday picture taken. It’s a one-time opportunity from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Photo prices begin at $22.99. Pet owners are asked to enter at entrance No. 2, on the upper level just above the Big Vista Lodge, which is near Dillard’s. Cats and dogs on a leash or in an appropriate carrier only, please. Animals, other than those servicing the disabled, are not allowed in the shopping centers other than on regularly scheduled pet night.
•breakfast with Santa. On Dec. 13 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., children can come for a fun breakfast party, courtesy of Sonic and Vista Ridge Mall, and meet Santa when he drops by to say hello. Along with breakfast, Santa’s guests will be treated to Holiday on Strings, a special marionette presented by The Dallas Puppet Theater. The show is fresh and entertaining for all ages, featuring all sorts of holiday puppet characters. Santa’s Breakfast, held in the Big Sky Food Court, is free and reservations are not required.
