Lakeside Middle School appointed Clint Miller of Little Elm as their new principal. Miller has worked in the Little Elm Independent School District for six years, serving as a World History teacher, coach, and assistant principal at both Lakeside Middle School and most recently, Little Elm High School.
Miller has spent 20 years working in public education, including work in the school districts of Joshua, Leander, A&M Consolidated, Killeen, and Jennings, LA. Miller earned his Bachelors degree from McNeese State University and his Master of Education at Lamar University.
Although he is well acquainted with LEISD, Miller said he is looking forward to the changes it will soon undergo.
“Lakeside is focusing on three major areas this year,” Miller said. “We want to create a collaborative culture where everyone feels like they have a voice. We also want to improve behavior and student learning.”
Miller said the phenomenal leadership in the district will help ensure that these goals are carried out at all Little Elm schools.
Excited to be back, Miller said he has many hopes for Lakeside Middle School. He wants it to be a place where teachers love to teach, children love to learn, and parents want to send their kids to.
“His knowledge of our students and their needs will drive Mr. Miller to work hard for the success of all learners in our Little Elm ISD community. We want to thank Mr. Miller for his continued leadership and dedication to our students and community,” Matthew Gutierrez, Deputy Superintendent of Little Elm ISD, said in a press release.
