This week, the McKinney Police Department has been urging residents to stay off the roads amid inclement winter weather, posting photos of icy roads around town.Â
On Thursday, the department posted a different series of photos: these depicted a car submerged in water.Â
"Thankfully the driver was able to climb out safely, and other than being cold, they were not seriously injured," the department stated. "This is why we urge residents to stay off roadways when conditions like this exist."Â
The department stated that the incident occurred on Timber Ridge Trail, just west of McKinney North High School.Â
