Ag-Power, a full-line John Deere dealership providing sales, parts and service of agricultural, lawn, garden and commercial products, has announced that it will be adding 40 new jobs to the headquarters office in McKinney, taking the total company employee count to more than 420.
“We are committed to increasing economic development in McKinney, and we are thrilled to assist Ag-Power in their needs for expansion,” said McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller in a city release. “Ag-Power has been an exceptional business partner in our community and plays an important role in McKinney’s economy. McKinney Economic Development Corporation is able to assist Ag-Power expand and continue to grow in our community.”
Founded in 1972, Ag-Power sells agriculture products and new and pre-owned equipment to consumers in Texas and surrounding states. Nationally, Ag-Power is one of the largest volume John Deere suppliers with dealerships in Arkansas, Texas and Missouri. The expansion at Ag-Power’s headquarters in McKinney will add 40 jobs to their existing 101 employees.
Jack Radke, owner of Ag-Power, said he is proud to see how much the city has grown over the years and is excited to be a part of the growth.
“We have had a long, rich history with the city of McKinney and we are very pleased to be able to continue growing in McKinney,” Radke said in the release. “McKinney is an outstanding place to do business. The location is perfect and allows me to meet my customer demographic on both a local and national scale efficiently. From McKinney National Airport, I can get to Ag-Power’s Missouri office within two hours.”
Recently, the company has included Honda and Stihl lines to complement the John Deere line. Once primarily selling mostly large agricultural equipment to the farmers in Collin County, Ag-Power has adjusted to the changing needs of its customers by offering smaller ag equipment as well as lawn and commercial equipment to meet the changing needs. Additionally, Ag-Power offers full aftermarket service to customers.

In addition to the expansion at their existing corporate facility, Ag-Power will have an expanded presence at McKinney National Airport, as it will use it for convenient corporate air travel.
