Jordan Williams and Horn improved to 3-0 in 10-6A with a 56-49 victory over Skyline on Friday.

Horn and North Mesquite completed a successful week, as each notched another victory on Friday.

The Jaguars moved into sole possession of first place at 3-0 with a 56-49 victory over Skyline.

The Jaguars were down by two at halftime, but doubled up the Raiders, 16-8, in the second quarter and were able to match Skyline point for point down the stretch.

North Mesquite improved to 2-1 with a thorough 77-34 victory over Tyler Legacy.

The Stallions led by 11 after one quarter and then took full control with a 23-4 run in the second to open a 39-9 lead. It was more of the same in the second half, as they outscored the Raiders 48-25 to pull away.

Cordale Russell had a game-high 20 points to lead the offense, with Korey Neal tallying 19 and Taomrrian Grigsby adding 15.

Mesquite was not as fortunate on Friday, dropping a 58-45 decision to Rockwall-Heath, who joined Rockwall at 2-0, a half-game behind Horn.

The Hawks opened the game on a 19-9 run, and while the Skeeters played even during the final three frames, they were unable to cut into their deficit.

Kyler Courtney had a big game for Rockwall-Heath with 23 points, Tylar Hankamer had 13 and Hekhi Johnson added eight. Donovan Willis recorded nine points and Dus Souleimane and Conye Bibbs each had seven for Mesquite.

One of the three undefeated teams will fall on Tuesday when Rockwall hosts Horn. North Mesquite will try to keep rolling on the road at Skyline, Rockwall-Heath heads East to face Tyler Legacy an Mesquite will look to regroup with its bye.
