The 2015 Dallas A-List awards are based on more than 24,000 votes from local North Texas-area experts. Urban Rio was up against more than 30 other Tex Mex locales, and Urban Crust battled more than 15 local bars in the voting competition that began on May 4 and concluded on June 21.
Voters noted fresh ingredients, fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and exceptional service as reasons behind casting their vote for Urban Rio as the Best Tex Mex restaurant. Urban Crust supporters raved about the uniqueness of the third-story ice bar, and fun atmosphere created by the experienced bar team.
Neither restaurant is a stranger to awards from The Dallas A-List. In 2013, Urban Rio took home the award for Best Margarita in The Dallas A-List’s Margarita Bracket Challenge for its signature top shelf margarita, La Verdadera. Urban Rio was also a Finalist for Best Tex Mex in 2013.Collectively, Urban Crust has received eight awards since 2010, including Best Pizza and Best Trendy Bar.
