The City of Anna is excited to announce Rosamond Parkway to U.S. 75 is now open. The roadway serves as a critical East/West connection between U.S. 75 and S.H. 5 in northern Anna.
Additionally, it provides a direct connection to Anna High School, improves traffic circulation at the high school and middle school, and will help relieve congestion at FM 455.
"Rosamond Parkway opens a new chapter of opportunity for future development in northern Anna," said Mayor Nate Pike. "I can't wait to see what the future holds."
The city had a public-private partnership through a subdivision improvement agreement with DR Horton, which provided $8,459,774.38 in funding for the construction of Rosamond Parkway to U.S. 75, major water system improvements, and a trunk sewer line serving north central Anna.
"Private-public partnerships like this help provide essential infrastructure for the city without additional burden on our neighbors' taxes — a goal we always strive to achieve," said Greg Peters, Interim Assistant City Manager.
