Robert “Bob” Raymond McReynolds, 63, of Garland, Texas, passed away the afternoon of Tuesday, April 19, 2016 surrounded by family at Baylor Medical Center at Garland due to complications from pneumonia.
Bob was born August 25, 1952 in Seminole, TX. He was the first of four children to Charlie Thomas McReynolds and Patricia Jeanette Folmar. Bob was named after both of his grandfathers: Robert McReynolds and Raymond Folmar. As a young man, Bob enjoyed competitive sports and excelled in baseball and football as quarterback. He graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1970. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served our country as a medic during the Vietnam War.
In his adult years, Bob enjoyed expressing his creativity through painting, music and poetry writing. More than anything, Bob loved to tell stories and could keep people laughing for hours. He was happiest spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert McReynolds; his grandson, Isaac McReynolds; his parents, Charlie Thomas McReynolds and Patricia Jeanette Sellers; and four siblings, CT McReynolds, Rebekkah Ann Franks, John Ed McReynolds and Esther Ruth McReynolds.
A private memorial service was held Friday, April 22nd, 2016, at the home of John McReynolds.
