Access Counseling Group offers substance abuse treatment programs and services for individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol abuse in Collin County and the surrounding area.
What does your business offer that is unique compared to similar businesses?
We’re a troop of people doing the work we truly love to do. When you trust an environment like this, you go from asking for help to wanting help. We are a state-recognized training facility teaching other clinicians therapy skills; meaning help is provided by the teacher, not the student.
What is the most important part of your job on a daily basis?
The members of the community walking through our door and trusting our service. We are one of the few businesses hoping to work ourselves out of a job; until then, the need for our services remains, as is our passion.
What are your keys to success?
People deserve someone they can trust, count on and who respects them enough to tell it how it really is; we understand recovery is not ‘one size fits all,’ but by promoting honesty, integrity and accountability we help unlock the doors to our clients’ success.
What surprises you most about your job?
We’ve all heard, “Do what you love and you never work a day in your life.” So to be honest, 5 p.m. typically surprises me the most.
Tell us something most people wouldn't know about your company.
Access Counseling Group has an on sight laboratory, NRT Laboratories, which offers in-home drug testing kits to be purchased at half the cost of retail stores. The kits offer instant results within seconds. What you do with your answers is up to you.
