The city of Plano will celebrate the grand opening of Southern Land Company’s new mixed-use, luxury apartment community, Junction 15. The community was developed under a public-private partnership between Southern Land, the city of Plano, DART and the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Junction 15 is a new five-story, multi-family, urban mid-rise community featuring 279 units in a variety of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The property is already 25 percent leased.
“Since DART’s arrival in Plano, the city has been focused on revitalizing its historic downtown with numerous public improvements and new community developments like Junction 15,” said Plano Deputy City Manager Frank Turner in a press release. “These transit-oriented developments are breathing life back into the city center.”
Other current downtown projects include improvements to 15th Street, a mixed-use development at Municipal Center South, McCall Plaza, the renovation of the Saigling House, better parking signage, Courtyard Theater parking improvements and Rice Field residential housing.
Mayor Harry LaRosiliere and other Plano City leaders will join the developer in a grand opening ceremony at 11:15 am on Tuesday. Junction 15 is located at 930 East 15th Street in Plano.
