The Plano Senior High School graduation kicks off at the Ford Center on June 8. The ceremony commenced with opening remarks from Anna Smith, Student Congress president, about the impact people have on the lives of many, a speech from Valedictorian Howard He-Kwang Yen about the work it takes and passion it requires to achieve success, Jiarong Joyce He about making one’s own space to get to the top and Marvin Rojas-Javier about how failures are good to learn from. Upon receiving all their diplomas, the graduates heard Salutatorian Eric L. Chen’s closing remarks before singing their alma mater and throwing their caps.
