Leonard finished the series with three hits and five RBIs. It was the first postseason appearance for the Lobos since 2019 and first as a 6A school.
Aden Howard, Hebron baseball
Howard hit a solo home run to lead off Game 3 of a Class 6A bi-district playoff series against Little Elm, leading the Hawks to an eventual 15-2 run-rule win over the Lobos. It was the first postseason series win for Hebron since 2019. Howard had four hits in the series. The District 6-6A champion Hawks faced Dallas Jesuit in the area round.
Caroline Freeman, Prince of Peace softball
Freeman went 3 for 4 with two doubles and one triple with four RBIs as the Lady Eagles cruised to a 14-1 run-rule win over Veritas Academy to advance Prince of Peace past the second round of the TAPPS playoffs for the first time in school history. The Lady Eagles scored at least one run in every inning, breaking the game open with a seven-run fourth. Prince of Peace faced Brook Hill in the TAPPS Div. III state semifinals Friday.
