There's no shortage of noteworthy performances turned in by student-athletes around the area. Each week, Star Local Media's sports staff will recognize five student-athletes from their respective coverage areas as part of its 5-Star Spotlight.
Here are a few athletes from sports reporter David Wolman's coverage area who have turned in standout moments over the past week.
Danielle Quintanilla, Little Elm girls soccer
In a game that the Lady Lobos needed to win to keep their postseason hopes alive, Quintanilla scored two goals in a 2-0 road victory at Denton Braswell on Tuesday. Little Elm and Denton Guyer are tied for fourth place in District 5-6A with one game remaining for each team.
Jet Thomson, Hebron boys soccer
Hebron clinched the District 6-6A title with a 2-0 win against Coppell on March 3. Thomson scored both goals for the Hawks, who then earned a 4-2 victory over Plano West on Tuesday evening to improve to 17-0-3 overall and 10-0-3 in district. Thomson scored the first goal of the game on Tuesday vs. West.
Reagan Roberson, Coppell girls soccer
Roberson scored two goals as Coppell defeated Flower Mound, 3-0, Monday to clinch a playoff berth. She has nine goals and one assist on the season. The Cowgirls close out the regular season Monday with a road game against Plano, set for 7:30 p.m. at Clark Stadium.
Sabrina Wick, The Colony softball
Fresh off helping to lead The Colony to the Region II-5A semifinals, Wick has picked up where she left off at the end of last season. Wick was on fire from the plate for the week of Feb. 27-March 4, batting .647 on 11-of-17 with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, nine runs scored, six walks and three stolen bases.

Megan Judd, Coppell track and field
Judd put on quite the performance in front of the home crowd at the Coppell Relays. She ended the day with three gold medals, winning the high jump (new school record of 5-9), long jump (17-5) and as one leg in the 4x100 (48.32). She also competed in the 200.
