Coppell Cowboys' offense too much to handle for Plano East

The Coppell Cowboys jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first half and never looked back in a 49-14 win over Plano East Friday night at Kimbrough Stadium.
The road win keeps the Cowboys in the hunt for tops in the 6-6A standings, improving their record to 3-1 in district play, 6-1 overall. The Panthers are still looking for their first district win, dropping to 0-4 in district play, 3-4 overall.
It was the Jack Fishpaw show for Coppell in the first half — well, actually the whole game. The Cowboys quarterback threw for all four touchdowns in the first two quarters, opening the scoring with a touchdown pass to Baron Tipton. Fishpaw's other TD passes in the first half were to Carter Kincaid, and two scoring connections with Zack Darkoch.
Fishpaw and the Cowboys' aerial attack was not done in the first half. Fishpaw threw for two more scores in the third quarter, bringing his total to six, with scoring strikes again to both Tipton and Darkoch. The only Cowboys' touchdown Fishpaw was not a part of was when the defense scored on an interception return.
Down 49-0, Plano East found the end zone late in the third quarter on a run by Jaylon Hatcher. In the fourth quarter, Panthers' quarterback Drew Devillier connected with Rushil Patel for a score.
