Three local performance groups will join together for a patriotic concert at 7 p.m. June 29 and 2:30 p.m. June 30 at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, 6101 Morriss Road in Flower Mound.
The concert will feature the Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra, directed by Esteban Rojas, the Chancel Choir of Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, directed by Karen Chraska, and the Voices of Flower Mound, directed by Arturo Ortega.
Tickets are $10 each, with no charge for veterans and children 12 and under. Tickets are available in advance at fmco.org or at the door.
The combined choirs and orchestra will perform “An American Celebration,” “Texas, our Texas,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and other selections, which honor our nation’s military.
The orchestra will focus on the music of two American composers: Aaron Copeland and John Williams by performing “Fanfare for the Common Man,” “Variations on a Shaker Melody,” “Liberty Fanfare,” “Hymn to the Fallen” and others.
